Iran Supreme Leader's views on Nuclear Technology:

Nuclear weapons do not bring power

Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in a meeting with a number of Iranian nuclear scientists said the biggest outcome of the nuclear achievements for peaceful purposes by young Iranian scientists is that they have created a sense of national dignity in Iran.

He stressed: “The Iranian nation has never been after nuclear weapons and it will never go after such weapons. The Iranian nation will prove to the world that nuclear weapons do not bring about power".

Nuclear Energy is our absolute right

April 8th is celebrated as national nuclear technology day in Iran, after president Ahmadinejad in 2006 broke the news that the first batch of low-enriched uranium had been produced at the Natanz nuclear facility, to provide fuel for the country's reactors. 

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad focused on Iran peaceful nuclear achievements and said, "It will be very prestigious for the Iranian nation if we become one of the centers for production and export of nuclear science and technology in the world, and it can happen."

Happy the year of national production,
and supporting Iranian capital and labor

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has congratulated the nation on the occasion of Nowruz and named the new year as the year of “National Production, Supporting Iranian Capital and Labor.”

"This year's slogan is national production, supporting Iranian labor and capital. The Iranian people should consume domestic products and avoid using those produced overseas," Iran's Supreme leader said in a speech on television.

No-Rooz, The Iranian New Year
No-Rooz, in word, means "New Day". It is the new day that starts the year, traditionally the exact astronomical beginning of the Spring. Iranians take that as the beginning of the year. This exact second is called "Saal Tahvil". No-Rooz with its' uniquely Iranian characteristics has been celebrated for at least 3,000 years.
